Journals of Hodgkin kept on a tour of Australia and New Zealand in 1909. Volume 1: Describes voyage on Orontes to Melbourne; visit to Tasmania; visit to New Zealand. Volume 2: visit to New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, voyage to Colombo on Orontes, travels in Ceylon and voyage to Europe on Otranto. The journals describe meetings with Friends in all places visited as well as impressions of cities, landscape, social events and current affairs. The journals contain some photographs of people, including the General Meeting in Adelaide, and cuttings, mainly of interviews with Hodgkin.

Banker and historian. Active member of the Quaker community. In 1909 visited Australia and New Zealand to meet Quaker communities and attend General Meeting of Australian Friends in Adelaide.
