Margaret, orphan and British child migrant, speaks of being placed in Barnardo's Home in England, how she was fostered out during World War II but later returned to Barnardo's, her dispatch to Australia to be placed at Barnardo's Home in Burwood, her feeling while she was held in this institution and the discipline required, how realistic was her life education and how she coped with institutional living. Terry speaks of the impact on family life caused by Margaret's early life.
