- Approximately 50 copies of 1st issue of the 1st ed. were released and are distinguished by coloured endpapers designed by Walter Syer, printed in light green and decorated with the letters A and R repeated throughout. Preliminary t.p. illus. in colour with printed signature of the artist. Illus. on t.p. and throughout text are in black and white. Bound in cream boards with maroon cloth backstrip. The 2nd issue of the 1st ed., 1918, is distinguished by its blue spine and cream endpapers and is more closely trimmed than the 1st issue.
- National Library of Australia's SR, FERG/2684 and MS1925 copies are all 1st issue; FERG/2684 and MS1925 copies have original dustjackets; MS1925 copy signed and inscribed by Peter Scriven with documentation from his Tintookies season of The Magic Pudding at the Elizabethan Theatre, Newtown (N.S.W.) commencing 4 July 1960.
