Journalist and short story writer. Ernest O'Ferrall, born on Nov. 16, 1881 and raised in Melbourne joined the Bulletin in 1907 and subedited the publication for 15 years. Then he moved to Smith's Weekly cira 1922 until his death on March 22, 1925. He also published popular stories and sketches under the pen-name 'Kodak'. His style of writing centred on life in the boarding house, office and pub, provided a contemporary urban feel to an otherwise predominantly country-focussed Bulletin.
