Australian school students were asked to take part in two national competitions aimed at raising awareness of Australian citizenship. Primary school students were asked to draw a poster depicting the theme of the current national citizenship promotion campaign, 'Australian Citizenship - Welcome to our family'. Secondary school students were asked to write an essay of up to 1000 words on the topic 'What Australian citizenship means to me'. This book presents the winning entries from each State and Territory.
