Correspondence, notes, kinship tables, vocabularies, articles, photographs, drawings by Torres Strait Islanders, press cuttings, sketch maps and other papers relating to the Torres Strait Expedition, the 1914 New Hebrides Expedition and the ethnology and anthropology of the New Hebrides, Solomon Islands, Torres Strait and elsewhere in Melanesia.
- Biography/History:

Doctor and lecturer on psychology. In 1898 he took part in the Cambridge Anthropological Expedition to Torres Strait. In 1908 he made his first expeditions to Melanesia where he worked with A.M. Hocart in Western Solomons, returning to Melanesia in 1914.
