Lady Don was the married name of Emily Eliza Saunders, an English actress who married a baronet and amateur actor, Sir William Henry Don. They toured Australia in 1861-1862 however with the death of Sir William in 1862 in Hobart, Lady Don continued her tour and career. She finished her career in England as a music hall entertainer.

- Broadsides announce the names of plays, dates of Lady Don's appearances and other acts in Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart, Launceston, San Francisco, New York. Theatres represented are: Maguire's Opera House (San Francisco), Princess Theatre (Dunedin, New Zealand), Prince of Wales Opera House (Sydney, New South Wales), Royal Haymarket Theatre (Melbourne, Victoria), Theatre Royal (Greenock, England; Hobart Town and Launceston, Tasmania), Royal Albert Theatre (Middlesbrough, England). Included are promotions for Lady Don's farewell appearances in Sydney (13 January 1865), Melbourne (18 November 1865), Hobart, San Francisco (1 August 1866) and Middlesbrough as well as her first appearance in New Zealand (Dunedin, 29 January 1866)
- Printed at various locations by various printers in a variety of coloured inks: black, green, red, brown, orange, yellow and blue - some in two colours, some on coloured papers. Some are single sheets, some designed to be folded vertically for double-sided display.
