Unknown woman (1), conversation : about songs her grandfather sang, revived by Burl Ives, 'Snip go the shears', 'Drover's dream', 'Old bullock dray' -- Unknown woman (2), conversation : about collecting family history for a professor in England (?), arrival of the Lyons family in Australia, 'dancing under the tree' -- Unknown woman (3), conversation : bushrangers, Martin Cash, the people in the district, dances, skittles, her schooling, first in state, then in private, schools, middle class wheat and cattle farmers, tries to recall some of father's and grandfather's old songs, recites fragments of 'Twas on the first of April' (recording of poor quality).
