The cartoons offer a satirical record of Australian political life and Australian events. Parts 1 and 3 cover the period 1973-2003 and Part 2 covers national political life under John Howard and Australian events, mainly for the period 1999-2001, with a smaller number dating from the earlier Hawke and Keating years. Part 4 has 10 cartoons from 1972-1978, with the remainder from 1985-2004. Part 5 covers 1973-1976 and 1984-2005. The cartoons are mostly the drawings as they were made for publication with none specially drawn for exhibition.
