MS 1923 comprises newspaper cuttings, notes, broadcasts, correspondence, addresses, articles, pamphlets, printed materials and other records relating to Raymond Watt's work for the Australian League of Nations Union and as a public relations consultant. The papers also include personal reseach files on international and Australian domestic affairs, career opportunities in Australia, art, literature and other topics (27 boxes).
The Acc03.112 instalment comprises personal and business correspondence, diaries of Eileen Watt, family photographs, glass slides and photocopies of photographs, publications by Randolph Hughes, broadcasts, family history material, overseas and miscellaneous memorabilia, maps, personal documents and newspaper clippings (10 boxes, 3 cartons).
- Biography/History:

Lecturer, broadcaster and public relations consultant. Raymond Gosford Watt was born in Gosford, New South Wales, in 1889. Watt was a foundation member of the New South Wales League of Nations Union and served as national secretary of the Australian League of Nations Union from 1930 to 1945. He became the New South Wales Division United Nations Association of Australia's first president in 1945-1946. During a long career in international affairs as a journalist and lecturer, he was twice a federal delegate to the League of Nations annual assembly and led the Australian delegation to the Brussels World Peace Congress in 1936. Watt died in Sydney in 1967.
