Curtis, official war artist, World War II, speaks about his childhood in England and Chile; his early interest in art; migrating to Australia in 1914; doing a correspondence course from the Press Art School of London; working as a commercial artist and cartoonist; living in Hollywood and Chicago in 1920s; Charles Chauvel; drawing the construction of the Sydney Harbour Bridge; life during the Depression; working as war artist in Melbourne munitions factories, New Guinea and north Queensland; his murals; his exhibition for Walkabout Magazine, which travelled through outback Queensland and New South Wales; Dr Bradfield; drawing Opera House construction; overseas after the death of his first wife; and his current projects. Postscript by his second wife Ellis Curtis.
