The essay was based on information gained from survey material and three tape recorded interviews. Sixty copies of the questionnaire were circulated and thirty were returned. Of these replies, twelve were from women and sixteen from men, and they covered a variety of the age groups specified.
An essay prepared for the Specialist Unit 221: Migrants in Australian Society at the University of Sydney (1981). Topic: The late 1960s and early 1970s saw an escalation of immigration to Australia from Mauritius. From survey and interview material, discuss the reasons for their coming and their adjustment to employment and living conditions in Australia. Includes bibliography, references and a copy of the questionnaire.
