Professor Suzanne Cory, Director Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research, talks about her family background; undergraduate degree at University of Melbourne; PhD at Cambridge on a particular transfer RNA and the research environment at Cambridge. She then discusses her reasons for choosing to work at Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research in 1971 and some of the research undertaken at the Institute. Cory then talks about the Human Genome Project; her plans for the Institute as its Director; views on women in Australian science and her plans for the future.
