The collection contains 72 letters written to Harry Stone by his baseball friends and his brother, Bob Stone, during World War II.The letters were written from various areas of conflict including the Pacific, Palestine, Labuan Island NW Borneo, Moratai, Tarakan and a German prisoner of war camp. The letters reflect the camaraderie between baseball players. Correspondents include: Bob Stone, Bill Dormen, Chas Edwards, Don Mould, Zoe Stone, Noel Blanch and Ray Stone. An autographed menu, ca. 1935, and brochure from "The Grosvenor" Hotel, Adelaide is also included in the collection.
