The MS 9562 collection comprises records of Polish organisations and papers of Polish immigrants, including correspondence, minutes of meetings, newsletters, photographs, drafts and scrapbooks. Major holdings include: Polish Ex-Servicemen's Association; Federation of Polish Organisations in Australia, articles of Radio Free Australia correspondent Ludwik Kruszelnicki; papers of George (Jerzy) Miller-Patajewicz; Polish Association of Newcastle Radio Committee; Polish Community Information Bureau; Polish Australian Historical Society; Radio ABC 4TTT (Townsville); Polish Boy Scouts in Australia; and, Stowarzyszenie Polskich Kombatantow.
The Acc02/8 instalment includes records of various SPK branches in Australia, including SPK No. 5, Canberra, and of SPK London. Also included are articles, programs, invitations, religious material, invitations to "Roses and red earth: Polish folk art in Australia" exhibition, ephemera and papers relating to various Akademias and famous Polish Australians.
The Acc02/77 instalment comprises records relating to the World Federation of SPK, the SPK Australian Branch, and SPK No. 5, Canberra Branch and SPK Newcastle Branch. There is also the correspondence of the Federal Council of Polish Organisations in Australia from 1954 and 1969-1970. Includes files relating to Fundacja Kulturalna im. Zofia J. Sek-Sekalskiej, Mietka Gruszka, including ephemera from the Polish community in Perth, 1991-2001, Zwiazek Polakow Gold Coast Rejon, Delegatura Skarbu Narodowego w Geelong, Delegat Wojciech Galaska, and, George Miller-Patajewicz. There is also a photograph album of the Polish Youth Orchestra, Adelaide, 1961-1996, plus other miscellaneous, unidentified photographs.
The Acc08/5 instalment includes historical records accumulated by the Polish Historical Institute in Australia, including papers of Polish immigrants and Australians of Polish descent and records of Polish organisations in Australia. Contributors and topics include: Polish Historical Institute in Australia; Solidarity 25th anniversary celebrations; Erazm Ciolek; Paz Domeyko, Leszek Jan Wojcicki; General Langfitt Group (Vic.); Marian Juszczyk; Bogumila Zongollowicz and Ernestyna Skurjat-Kozek.

The Polish Historical Institute in Australia was established in Canberra in 1996, on the initiative of Andrew Kleeberg. Its aims were to locate, collect, catalogue and preserve in the National Library of Australia historical records comprising (i) papers of Polish immigrants and Australians of Polish descent, and, (ii) records of Polish organisations in Australia. It also planned to carry out oral history interviews with selected Polish immigrants.
