A collection of posters relating to left wing politics, pressure groups and student protest movements (especially University of Sydney) from the 1960s to 1980s. Subjects include trade unionism, unemployment, work and living standards, peace, women's issues, Aboriginal issues, including Aboriginal land rights, environmental issues such as uranium mining. Political groups include the Communist Party of Australia, Australian Union of Students, Australian Labor Party, Movement Against Uranium Mining, various Aboriginal Land Councils, Kimberley Land Council, Northern Land Council, National Aborigines Week, Friends of the Earth. Printers include Earthworks Poster Collective, Redback Collective, Tin Sheds. Also various posters from other countries including an IRA poster on Long Kesh.
