MS 9804 comprises minute books, correspondence, reports, financial papers, subject files, cuttings, programs and flyers. The minute books date from the formation of the organisation in 1928, while most of the other papers date from the period 1960-97. Correspondents include Sir Bernard Heinze, Reg Marsh and Philip Woods (10 boxes, 1 fol. box).
The Acc12.091 instalment comprises minute books from 1989-2003, general correspondence, information on various competitions and eisteddfods, music club programs, and items of interest from regional music clubs, including Sutherland Music Club, Rose Bay Music Club and Manly Music Club, and FMCA directories and reports (7 boxes).

Formed in 1928 in Sydney, originally under the name Associated Music Clubs of Australia. Its aims were to advance musical culture and education in Australia and to assist in the promotion of new music clubs. There were hopes that the organisation would extend its operations to other States but they have always been confined to New South Wales.
