MS Acc03.165 comprises cuttings, scrapbooks, typescript articles, passport and numerous photographs. People in the photographs include Sally Baker, members of her family, Gough and Margaret Whitlam, Jim Cairns and Doris Day. It also includes a file of biographical material on newspaper editor Lindsay Clinch, Sally's husband.
The Acc05.027 instalment comprises a funeral service and obituary.

Journalist. Sally Baker Clinch, born Eena Dale Young, grew up in Subiaco, Western Australia. She married New Zealand-born philologist Sidney J. Baker in Bathurst in 1936 and had two daughters. In 1952 she joined the staff of the Sunday Sun as a feature writer. At the Sun she met Lindsay Clinch who, in 1971, became her second husband. In 1957 she began work with Women's day as an assistant editor. However, she returned to the Sun in 1960 when Clinch was posted to New York as editor and manager of the Fairfax office. While overseas she wrote feature articles based on her interviews with celebrities. Sally Baker Clinch died in Sydney in 2004.
