- The calculations on the calendar pages are identical with those in Samuel Stearns's The Universal calendar and the North-American almanack for 1788 (Boston) to the extent that the columns correspond, Stearns having additional columns of calculations and giving less astronomical matter in the notes column. The same calculations, and all of the astronomical notes as well, are duplicated in Thomas's Massachusetts & Vermont almanack for 1788 (Worcester), which is otherwise attributable to Stearns. Thomas's, devoting two pages to each month, also contains additional columns of calculations.
