Goldsmith talks about his early childhood; leaving home at 14; various jobs; army experience; involvement with cattle duffing and yarns about outback personalities. He then talks about his droving experiences; tent boxing; choice of tribal names for children; Drovers' Reunion and Stockman's Hall of Fame. Goldsmith then reads his poem "A problem with a pig" and plays the following tunes on his mouth organ, Red River Valley, Clementine, Click go the shears, Beautiful dreamer, Home sweet home/Danny Boy and Amazing grace. He then talks about his collection of bullock and buffalo horns and bricks. Goldsmith then describes his first experience of min min lights and re-finding his family.

Jack Goldsmith is a self-confessed cattle duffer, one-time drover, buffalo shooter, wharfie and tent boxer.
