- Australian National Audit Office. Performance audit
- Summary:
-
The objective of the audit was to determine whether the DHFS had managed its coordinating role and implemented its responsibilities under the National Rural Health Strategy efficiently and effectively. The audit found that DHFS' National Rural Health Strategy coordination was well-managed. While there was no extensive central coordination for delivery of rural health programs in DHFS, the information coordination appeared to be effective. However, DHFS, will need to monitor that coordination to see if it continues to be effective over time or whether more efficient arrangements are needed.
