- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are advised that this recording may contain names and voices of deceased persons.
- The Martu are the original Aboriginal custodians of an area of the Great Sandy, Little Sandy and Gibson Deserts in West Australia. The Martu is a collective term for the Nyangajarra, Manyjilyjarra, Warnman, Kartujarra and Putijarra language groups. The aim of the project is to create a Martu history of the last 100 years, a time of change. The history will combine stories of Martu and relevant non-Martu people, their lives and their experiences in the desert.
