In 1934, a few years after white people first visited the Papua New Guinea Highlands, Dr George Heydon and Mr A.J. Bearup from the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, University of Sydney, went to Mount Hagen, Papua New Guinea to carry out a survey of gastro-intestinal parasites. The collection includes photographs of: Mission of the Divine Word, Mogei people, Dan Leahy, Father William Ross, Lord Sempill, gold prospecting twins Jack and T.A. Fox, A.J. Bearup and George Heydon.
