"Rosemary was Nessie and Norman Hackett's younger daughter. Rosemary and Bob met and married in Swan Hill. Bob's sister Elizabeth was bridesmaid and his cousin, Rev. Colin Haugh, best man at their wedding. Following their marriage they lived in Bob's home town of Camperdown, Vic. In 1969 they moved to Canberra with their family where Bob worked in retail hardware, specializing in builder's hardware, and Rosemary worked as a librarian in High Schools and Colleges. Both had a great love of amateur theatre, and were involved in the Swan Hill National Theatre group and with the Camperdown Players. On their arrival in Canberra they became active members of the Canberra Repertory Society. In 1974 Rosemary directed Rep's first season of 'Old Time Music Hall'; now 31 years laster she is known in Canberra as the 'Queen of the Old Time Music Hall'."--Notes from acquisition documentation.
