- "Resolved, by the Legislative Council and House of Representatives of the Illinois Territory, that Elias K. Kane, Esq. be and he is hereby appointed to superintend the printing of the laws of this session ... And it shall be the duty of Messrs. Cook & Blackwell, to procure a certificate from the secretary of the territory of their having printed and delivered in his office the number of copies, both of the journals and laws which they have contracted to print, and it shall be the duty of the secretary to estimate what they shall be entitled to ... - Another issue (Shaw & Shoemaker 41126) has 51, ii, [1] p.; the word "their" in the title is spelled correctly, and the printers' name in the imprint has "and" in place of the ampersand.
