Dorothy Henry Greener, a Chinese Australian, talks about her memories of travelling to China in 1931 and the living conditions encountered in the village. She then talks about her father's background and his success as a businessman in Hobart; family's return to Hobart in 1934; racism encountered at school and the impact of father's death on the family. Greener then discusses her marriage and subsequent divorce to Charles Chung; hairdresser training in Sydney and being an artist's model at East Sydney Tech., Society of Realistic Art and modelling for Francis Lymburner, Charles Blackman and Thea Proctor. She then talks about her return to Hobart; modelling for Hobart Society of Artists; meeting Rex Walden; marriage to Leslie Greener, Egyptologist; relationship with daughters and her views on being Chinese born in Australia.
