The aim of the child care planning system is to encourage the supply of child care places in areas where they are most needed.Includes information about Australian Government Child Care Support, the child care system, types of child care and the assistance that may be available from the Australian Government. The most important advice for potential operators is to contact your State or Territory office of the Australian Department of Family and Community Services at an early stage. They can provide advice on any recent assessment of the need for child care places in particular areas. They can also provide more details about the operating requirements of the different types of child care.
