Cheryl Barclay born 1971 in Adelaide, South Australia talks about her parents; her education; her interest in music; teaching music; becoming a musician; attending church; her spiritual journey; her service in the army; basic training at Kapooka Military Camp; her early association with Salvation Army; trying various churches; playing music for Salvation Army service; joining church bible studies (1997); joining Salvation Army full time; becoming youth worker with Salvation Army; role as Forbes/Parkes Salvation Army Officer; other services in Forbes and Parkes welfare; community services and welfare in both towns supplied by Salvation Army; change in rural circumstances in Forbes; lack of resources in the medical and mental health area.
