Summary:

Melbourne's large Hindu community came together in April 2007 for a purification ceremony held at its temple in Carrum Downs. Performed every 12 years, the Kumbhabishekam ceremony is a symbolic worship aiming to re-energise the temple, its many deities and devotion in the community.
