Bound volume, containing manuscript and published verse by Paul Mell (pen name of John Buckley Castieau), who was a contributor to The Tocsin, The Ramble, The Boomerang, and The Bulletin. Included are some published poems illustrated by Norman Lindsay, Lionel Lindsay and G.W. Lambert. Some of Mell's poems are political, for example, verses written for an 1897 political broadside for D.M. Dow, a Liberal candidate.
