YouthSpeak : a conversation for the future : report on the implementation and findings of the YouthSpeak consultation project / [Natalie Garcia de Heer]

Presents the results of Youthspeak consultations, in which almost 13,000 young people between the ages of twelve to twenty-four participated; 116 Aboriginal and two Islander young people participated; participants ranked nine issues in order of importance and answered questions on ten themes; report is based on comments on the themes; one of the themes was Indigenous affairs, with five main issues raised: inequality between Indgienous and non-Indigenous Australias; education; Indigenous rights and the future; health; and the Northern Territory intervention; young people were concerned about access to education and training for Indigenous youth and called for better education about Aboriginal cultures; p. 57 lists recommendations on what actions Australian, state and local governments could take in Indigenous affairs.
