MS Acc08.070 comprises research notes on such topics as Sievers' father's work at the German Ministry for Cultural Affairs 1918-1933, Nazi war criminals, and family history; news clippings; correspondence; family papers; sketchbooks; watercolours, etchings, sketches; photographs; published materials; diplomas; and biographical files on family members. Included in the collection is material in English and German (12 boxes, 1 fol. box, 1 tube containing elephant folios).
- Biography/History:

Photographer. Born in Germany in 1913, Sievers trained at the Contemporary School for the Applied Arts in Berlin, an offshoot of the famous Bauhaus School, and took architectural photographs for his father's books on Berlin's historical buildings before emigrating to Australia in 1938. He opened his own studio in Melbourne and carried on a commercial practice for some years, gradually coming to specialise in the photography of industry and architecture.
