MS Acc09.157 comprises two annotated sleeping car diagrams, no. 204 and 207, Southern Line showing the layout of berths and names of delegates on the 1906 tour; booklet of Capital city sites in New South Wales, Itinerary of inspection August 1906 of Mahkoolma, Molonglo, Lake George, Dalgety, Canberra, including photographs and map of New South Wales Railways; a news cutting from the Daily telegraph, 7 October 1965, containing a photograph of Jack Luby and article about him as conductor and sleeping car attendant during the 1906 tour of sites for the federal capital; and, a news cutting from the Sun herald of 18 July 1965 on Railway Square, Sydney (1 fol. box).

Jack Luby worked for New South Wales Railways for 45 years as a conductor and sleeping car attendant. He was the conductor and sleeping car attendant on the train used for the 1906 tour of politicians, surveyors and advisors inspecting potential sites in New South Wales for the federal capital.
