a| Walter "Dick" Redman was born in Orbost, Vic., in 1938. The family moved to the South Coast, N.S.W. and in 1947, Dick moved to Canberra for work on the bus service. He was a conductor for 5 years, then became a driver and a senior driving instructor. He was an instructor for 19 years until his retirement in 1989.
