This booklet contains discussion of internal public relations for a local education association with suggestions for enhancing the association's image with its members and potential members. The five sections are (1) "Start with Analysis and Evaluation"--a listing of steps in planning an internal public relations program; (2) "Orientation: A Key Place for Action"--discussion of the role of the association in orientation of new teachers to the school system; (3) "Faculty Representative: Frontline PR"--discussion of the role of the elected leader of a faculty association with tips on characteristics and techniques of effective person-to-person communication within local associations; (4) "Publications: Necessary Tools of PR"--notes on newsletters, brochures, and other printed communications; (5) "Let's Hold Only Productive Meetings"--discussion of various types of association meetings with questions for use in planning. Appended are a prototype chart for PR committee organization with suggested duties for nine different subcommittee chairmen, a sample orientation survey questionnaire, an example of the development and use of an association symbol ("logo"), and suggested ingredients in a membership enrollment campaign.
