This guide represents an effort at identifying resources in the Chicago area that are related to multicultural and multiethnic education. The guide was compiled by students at the University of Illinois. The educational value of the process of compilation of the guide is discussed. The training of compilers and the research methodology used are also described. Resources listed include schools, museums, religious centers, libraries, community organizations, publications, commercial enterprises, and official agencies. Chicago area ethnic groups covered by the guide include Afro Americans, Asians, Chicanos and other Latin Americans, Germans, Italians, Jews, Lithuanians, Native American Indians, Poles, Swedes, and Ukranians. Under each resource listing, a brief description of its function and its resource materials is included. (GC)
