- Summary:
-
"Peko Mines Ltd. a company formed in 1949 and operating near Tennant Creek in Central Australia would appear to be assured of a prosperous future. The richest minable copper ore in the world is found there and in the brief space of a few years it has risen from a small gold mining venture into the biggest copper mining enterprise in the Northern Territory. Now a fabulous gold deposit is claimed to have been found by the company at their nearby Orlando shaft. Copper production at Tennant Creek in 1958 was valued at L.2,447,571."--Accompanying notes.
