Prepared to create awareness of the range of New York State programs, activities, and resources, this directory summarizes VEA (Vocational Education Act)-funded fiscal year 1978-1979 projects that were designed to reduce sex bias, sex stereotyping, and sex discrimination in vocational education. A list of resources developed in New York through VEA grants is also provided. The fifty-two projects or project phases reported include curriculum development, staff inservice training, student recruitment, research and guidance projects, and projects providing vocational programs and services for displaced homemakers and other special groups such as single heads of households lacking job skills, homemakers holding part-time jobs who wish full-time employment, and those seeking employment in nontraditional fields. Project summaries include title, project number, agency, administrator, project director(s), with address and phone number, and brief summary. In the contents, project descriptions are arranged alphabetically by name of applicant agency. (There are twenty-eight.) An index provides access by project title. Selected resources are divided into audiovisuals, workshop materials, reports, newsletters, manuals/guides, activity kits/source books/bibliographies, services, and assessment. The format is title, author or publisher, date of publication, annotation, and availability. (Author/YLB)
