This collection of three monographs focuses on the development of computerized student and personnel recordkeeping systems. Descriptions of three different computerized systems are presented. The first monograph describes the efforts of the School of Education at Florida International University to overcome problems related to the management of student data generated by a competency based teacher education program. The system provides for the collection, management, and analysis of performance data as students progress through their programs. Components of the system include: (1) a Student Progress Report System; (2) a Red Flag Report System; (3) a Competency Data Analysis System; and (4) a Program of Studies System. The second paper describes an attempt to collect, sort, and utilize student data generated from a compentency based program at the College of Education at Wayne State University. The program includes a complete professional sequence for teacher education students in four vocational curriculum areas. The third monograph provides specific information not only on the tracking and profiling of individual students but also on the control facility, the personnel involved in system management, computer components, information generated, and output data.
