This guide is intended as a source of ideas, procedures and suggestions for curriculum committees and developers wrestling with the planning, implementation, evaluation, and/or revision of kindergarten through grade 12 mathematics programs. It attempts to provide answers to questions which arise during the curriculum development process, and is divided into two major parts. The first, Developing a Mathematics Curriculum, contains: (1) An Overview; (2) The Mathematics Curriculum Guide; (3) Philosophy and Goals; (4) Design and Implementation; (5) Meeting Individual Student Needs; and (6) Student and Program Evaluation. Part II, Mathematics Curriculum Content, has: (7) The K-8 Program; (8) The 9-12 Program; and (9) Interdisciplinary Considerations.
