Abstracts of papers presented at the 1982 Annual Meeting of the Society for College Science Teachers (SCST) are listed alphabetically by first author in this two-part program. The first set of 28 abstracts represents a wide range of topics and issues in college science teaching, including among others, solar energy, scientific/technical writing, student characteristics (cognitive style, intellectual development, and others), college science curriculum (biology, chemistry, microbiology, environmental studies), teaching methods, and facilities. Fifty-four abstracts of papers presented during an SCST-sponsored symposium on federally funded projects in college science teaching are listed in the second part of the program. Various topics and issues in college science curriculum and instruction are addressed including among others, setting up a computing center, computer literacy, computer graphics, computer assisted instruction, microcomputers in college science education, coastal-environmental studies, pre-freshmen engineering program, laboratory experiences in particular and science in general for the non-science student, microcomputer software in science, laboratory in sensory physiology and perception, and an instructional management and student evaluation tool for programs in individualized instruction.
