In an attempt to classify some of the vast research on job stress, this annotated bibliography presents over 170 references relating to burnout, stress, and job satisfaction among managers, executives, and administrators. Bibliographic information is provided for each reference along with a summary of major ideas, and results and conclusions. The resources, all published within the last 15 years, include both books and journals, and cover theoretical perspectives as well as empirical research, national and international aspects, and public and private settings. References include discussions of specific sources of stress and burnout and actions that can promote health and job satisfaction.
