- Summary:
-
Colour lithographic poster advertising a series of stamps and associated products issued to commemorate the Royal Wedding of HRH Prince William and Catherine Middleton on 29 April 2011. This long-awaited union is significant to Commonwealth nations, not only because the Prince is second in line to the British throne, but because the couple has been a favourite of the people since they first appeared in public. These products were issued on 12 April 2011 before the wedding and feature an image of the couple taken after their engagement was announced on 16 November 2010. In the bottom half of the poster are images of two stamps, one a domestic rate 60 cent stamp and the other at the international rate to the United Kingdom of $2.25. Behind these is an image of interior architectural detail of Westminster Abbey where the wedding was held. The top of the poster features the poster caption set against a beige background.
