- Summary:
-
"This study was commissioned by ... the Commonwealth Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism, and sets out to investigate the Australian Government's current spatial capability and suggest how that capability can be improved for the benefit of the Australian public sector, private sector and the wider Australian public. This scope, by necessity, involves consideration of Australian State and Territory capabilities, and the collaboration between the Commonwealth and State/Territory government agencies. The work on which this report is based was undertaken in the period October 2010 until June 2011 and comprises evidence gathered in Australia on two separate visits, as well as interviews and desk research conducted whilst in Great Britain."--Executive summary.
