- Summary:
-
"This is a trip zine but also a zine about old friendships. It's about a trip I took last year, in which I reconnected in five north American locations - New York, Providence, Toronto, Montreal, and rural California - with five friends from five different periods of my life, starting with Tavish that I worked with in Poland from 1996 and ending with Miki and Ming that I met in 2007 in Mongolia. The whole trip was organized on Facebook, and it came at a time when my life and studies were breaking me and I hadn't realized just how much stress I'd been under. But it's not just the story of a trip; travel stories that are not interwoven with life are those in which the traveller has moved through space and time in body only. No, it's also about the nature of the journeys themselves, and friendship, and happiness. I write, too, about identity, particularly how identities change and are challenged as we move across roles and places, and as our own priorities and passions wax and wane. There are some crazy stories, all true, about the interconnection of places and people and ideas."--Back cover.
