Captain Herbert V. Barclay's photograph collection of his expedition to explore McArthur River and the Gulf of Carpentaria regions. The photographs were taken by the expedition's official naturalist and photographer Gerald F. Hill. The expedition set out from Melbourne on 18 January 1911 hiring additional members and obtaining camels and supplies.
