- Summary:
-
An artist's book. The first seven words, up to the "p" in "pulling" are in letterpress and thereafter the text is in pencil. A yellow, black and grey engraving appears in the middle. The letterpress resumes with the final period, closing parenthesis, statement of responsibility and imprint. According to the artist's web site the subject of the book is "How my mornings begin at Wallen Road, Hawthorn. Melbourne." The text reads like a stream of consciousness as the sun rises and thoughts of the artist's parrot, nursery rhymes, the church across the road, his wife, cat, pigeons, flowers, religion and colours rush through his head, and he awakens his parrot with a hymn.
