Views of South Australia and the Northern Territory, 1910-1919

This collection consists of three sets of photographs. The first is of an unidentified pastoral property, probably in the Flinders Ranges Region and includes images of forested and rocky ranges, a homestead and its inhabitants, a horse and buggy and a motor car. The second set are blind stamped "South Australian Govt. Photo-Litho. Dept." and comprise a range of city street views including trams, parklands, the Adelaide Hills, Victor Harbor and agricultural activities. The final set was taken in the Northern territory in the period soon after the Commonwealth Government took control in 1911 and include images of the Government Residency in Darwin, the Administrator and his family and the Government Demonstration Farms established at Batchelor and Daly River in 1912.
