MS 6773 comprises: Series 1 consisting of files on SPELD meetings and newsletters. (This series files 3, 5, 13). Series 2 consists of committees eg. AUSPELD; Council meetings; and correspondence. Media issues and financial papers are included. (This series files 14/1-2, 16/1, 18/1, 22/1, 24/1).
The Acc GB 1993/0203 instalment includes correspondence, memoranda, reports, financial records, membership lists and newsletters, 1975-1985. Many of the files document liaison with kindred organisations.

The Specific Learning Difficulties Association of the A.C.T. (SPELD (A.C.T.) Inc.) was inaugurated in 1970 as a not-for-profit organisation to advance the education and general welfare of children and adults with a specific learning difficulty of a perceptual, conceptual or coordinative nature and related problems.
