Without consent - Australia's past adoption practices' is a new exhibition opening at the National Archives of Australia in 2015, that brings to light previously hidden adoption practices and provides an opportunity for those affected to share their experiences. It draws on the collection of the Forced Adoptions History Project, which comprises contributions from almost 700 people. This booklet discusses the themes of the Project and presents highlights from the many letters, photos, and comments submitted. It also features an introductory message from the Director-General of the National Archives, David Fricker, and the text of the National Apology for Forced Adoptions, delivered 2 years ago exactly by Prime Minister Julia Gillard.
